Chiropractic care focuses on the diagnosis, correction, and prevention of mechanical issues of the musculoskeletal system and how that affects the nervous system and the rest of the body. Chiropractic care at All Care Chiropractic facilitates the body’s own healing ability by promoting and expediting the healing process.
Our experienced practitioners use a “hands-on” approach to health care by delivering adjustments to correct dysfunction of your spine and stimulate proper function to your nervous system. The chiropractic adjustment is a very specific movement applied to correct the vertebral subluxation. By correcting the subluxation and stimulating the nervous system, the body can begin the healing process.
Chiropractic care can be applied to people of all types, including athletes, office workers, seniors, and pregnant women, to achieve a balance between the muscular, skeletal, and nervous systems. It can also be effective for neurological disorders such as mental stress, headaches, and symptoms associated with compression of the spine.
Chiropractic care can improve posture, movement, and overall well being, and can address pain in the following areas:

Physiotherapists and Chiropractors often work together to treat pain from injury, repetitive movements, and other physical pains of the body. While they may seem similar, physios and chiropractors are unique occupations, both with their own specialized training. Depending on what your particular pain is, there are reasons why you might want to see one over the other.
In chiropractic, the main focus is on the spine and how it relates to movement and function, as well as how it connects to the nervous system and bodily tissues. The core purpose of chiropractic is to manipulate the spine, using manual techniques, to treat things like headaches, neck pain, leg and back pain and more, as often, many problems stem from spinal imbalances.
Physios, on the other hand, focus on the movement and function of specific parts of the body, such as hips, shoulders, and knees, or other parts of the body that could have been affected by injury, strain, or repetitive movements, and work to heal the affected area through manual techniques, and mobilization and rehabilitation exercises.
We’ve talked about the main difference between a physiotherapist and chiropractic, but what do they have in common?

While both modalities include manual techniques and may address the same parts of the body, the first thing you’ll want to consider is whether the pain is more spine and joint related or whether it’s more muscle related. For most people, they might not know exactly where the pain is originating. Seeking the advice of your doctor or consulting with either a physical therapist or chiropractor will be helpful in assessing which treatment is right for you.
There may be times when one recommends the other or where both therapies may be appropriate. It will really depend on your personal situation. We recommend you reach out to schedule your consultation today.
